I have had mixed results with combat sports gear. My glvoes from them ripped on the seams and the first pair of pads I got from them ripped the first time I used them. These pads are pretty good so far but you take your chances with CSI.

One person I know has these and I have worn them. Except against a powerful opponent, you won't feel a thing. They can take a lot of hit to your shins, much better than the dipped foam Blitz guards that people tend to use. Definately recommend these if you can afford the price tag.
