I got these shin pads 4 years ago and use them quite often and they still fit perfectly! I have used these shinpads in kickboxing (on people and on bags) and also in grappling and MMA practice and found that they are great on all accounts. I liked this for bag work and sparring, it gives the perfect amount of resistance while protecting your shins, not losing speed or impact due to thicker pads. I have used thin fabric pads from century fitness and larger thai style shin pads, but i found this to be the best mix. For grappling and mma, the shin pads do not hinder mobility too much. The only negatives I can see are it tearing from people taking them off too aggressively, the bottoms getting dirty or torn, and thats really it. All in all, this is a great product that I will buy again if I need to, but so far combat sports products have survived years of beatings and hopefully many more!

pros and cons

these shin pads are good, nice and thick padding on the front, and they attach to your legs nicely and lock on good. the only bad thing about these shin guards is that thhey use the traditional hook and loop closure system. if you have big calves, you should go for the metal loop professional shin guards. they are a bit more expensive, but they are well worth it. i use the windy pro shin guards, but i had a choice of these, windy, or twins shin guards at my gym and i chose windy pro style.
another con is that it covers the shin area, but if you have big calves, it doesn't really cover the side of your calf good, it exposes a lot. if you misplace a leg kick, and accidently hit with the side of your leg, itll hurt because you have shin guards on for a reason. the windy and tins shin guards are huge width wise, and lightweight, but the padding on the front isnt as thick, but thats good cause you want to feel your power.

I am 5'8 and weigh around 150 lbs. I am really picky about shinpads. In the past, i had some cheap pads that moved around whenever I kicked a heavy bag. I expected alot from these and I am very satisfied with the purchase. They don't move around and fit me well. (I bought the regular size) Also, they absorb impact very well. Good product for the price :)

Bought a pair of these as a backup for my Hayabusa guards, and just to compare out of my own curiosity. I don't like them quite as much as my Hayabusas, the price for these makes up for that and makes for a better value. I would recommend these to anyone.

This is the best shin pad you can find at this price range. I have these and when i use them they stay on very well. They don't move around much, and give just enough protection for muay thai competitions. Very secure wrapping around the leg. It is a bit hard to get into initially, but it gets better with use.
