As an amateur boxer these were my very first training glove and I have always gone back to them when I could not afford the more expensive stuff. It was not untill recently that I upgraded from these to the PROTEX models also by EVERLAST.
I will always reccomend these to fighters with healthy wrists and hands. If not... Go with the PROTEX.

Misleading October 16, 2009

While these gloves are long lasting and great for hitting the bag and some mitt work, they're not a sparring gloves. I bought 2 years ago and like the reviewer before me I still have the same pair. I would recommend these gloves for most boxing training, but spend your money on a different type if youre gonna do some serious sparring.

I got these gloves waaay back in high school, so they have managed to survive about 8 years of beatings on heavy bags and peoples faces. they are mediocre at best tho, but have survived their wear and tear. The insides are not the comfiest and I recomend you leave them open to air out after every use. They are decent enough for the price and a good pair of starter gloves for bag work and sparring.
