These gloves protected my knuckles and were extremely comfortable.

this is about the same as the cheaper 4oz everlast grappling gloves. didn't seem to be much different. Once again, the quality is decent and it is comfotable to wear and fits snuggly. However, for me this restricted some movements when i try to grip my opponent.

Wearing these for striking drills felt awkward, as you can see in the picture, the palm side of the gloves under the fingers is poorer quality. The gloves felt like they were going to rip at any moment, and they were pretty new. The design of the gloves is great, but I suggest finding a better quality with the same finger less design for MMA (or in my case jiu jitsu with self defense striking).
Edit: I should mention that my hands are abnormally large. The gloves did fit but that may explain some of the rip worries I'd have. They may be better for teenagers who do not throw with a lot of force and have smaller hands.
