My first shinguards June 14, 2011

The old joke of "Neverlast" gear definitely applies here, my guards started falling apart at the seams after 2 months of training (note I was a newbie so I wasn't even using them that much) and they also started stinking to high heaven even though I aired them out after every single use.

The padding is mediocre at best, the only thing I can say about it is that my skin didn't split at least but I definitely felt every single check - I remember one drill where my friend had on a pair of Fairtex shinguards and I was using this, by the end of the drill I was literally hobbling because of all the damage I had sustained and he was walking around like nothing had happened.

At the price that I paid for, I can't really complain.  The pads helped introduce me quickly to Muay Thai and served its purpose until I could afford better ones.

To summarize, no I wouldn't recommend these to you if you're thinking of really training any kicking sport.
