some kid at my gym got 2 teeth knocked out while sparring with a similar mouthpiece. bottom line is, when buying gear, buy the best. you save a little bit of moeny at the beginning, but long term youre doing permanent damage to your body. somethign as sensitive as teeth shouldnt be messed around with. get a $20-30 shock doctor mouth guard. i wouldnt even go near these even if they were free.

If you have minimal danger, maybe from grappling, go ahead and use one of these. However they are uncomfortable and weak so if you are doing striking, rugby or actually have more money to spend, then upgrade.

If you plan on doing any striking sport, do not get this mouthpiece. However, if interested in grappling where the danger to your teeth is minimal this would suffice. Then again, mouth pieces in BJJ aren't a necessity. Overall if using a mouthpiece for jiu jitsu I'd still recommend a better quality than this one.

Not very useful. The only good thing that I have found with this one is the price. It doesn't do much besides remind you to be aware of your teeth when sparring. I don't think it would save your teeth much trauma if you got hit hard.
