great so far but with some concerns August 21, 2009

got my new Hayabusa MMA gloves a couple of weeks ago.
ordered them from fighterwarehouse and am very happy. good price, the shipping was free and they came quicker than I expected.
The gloves are made very well. The leather is soft and is very high quality. They are comfortable. The wrist strap system is great. Grappling with them is easy and even though I haven't broken them in I barely notice them while training.

My complaint is with with the way that the leather on the underside of each finger is attached to the leather on the upper side. It is curled around so that the stitching is not exposed. I assume that this will protect the stitching and improve durability.
Two grappling partners complained about how hard that rolled leather is. It hurt their arms at times. That rolled up piece of leather is pretty hard.
I think that these are made about as well as fairtex but that one thing would probably make me buy Fairtex next time (if it doesn't soften up over time.)

I love Hayabusa, their products consistently perform.  These gloves may be a bit more expensive, but you're not going to find a better pair.  Pony up a little extra and get quality.

One of the best gloves ever. June 20, 2009

It has style, has awesome fit (the y-grip design thing on the palm actually works well for me), and the padding is awesome. Very well distributed glove weigh and padding makes this glove a pleasure to train/fight in. I only use it with higher level opponents though, as I don't want these gloves to get ruined :)

Extremly comfortable and durable. The price is at the high end of the spectrum , but are worth the price. Can be used for day to day training or for fights.
