Just great stuff February 3, 2012

These shin are great and offer really nice protection. I use them in kickboxing and in my free style/Grappling class and they just do the job perfectly. They don't turn or split and they are really comfortable in all kind of martial art.

One other funny thing, my sparring partner really appreciate the padding on them... :-)

High quality shin guards June 14, 2011
Reviewer: caneca from San Diego, CA United States
My friend let me try his pair of these at the gym the other day.  To be honest, they're pretty sick.

The guards are comfy and feel as thick as they look, I only went a round with them so I'm not going to tell you they're ultra durable or that they're the best shin guards ever; but from the short 3 minutes that I had them on they were equal in dispersing impact to my Revgear Gel shinguards which I love dearly.

Infact, the fit of the Hayabusas actually is better than my Revgear's (the instep tends to shift down and cover my toes causing some toenailing) but I guess you get what you pay for as the price of these Hayabusas are pretty high.

Overall, I think they're pretty good and worth it if you have the money to spend.

Great all around November 10, 2010
Reviewer: S.L. from Elk grove, CA United States
Ihave had these shin Guards for a little over six months and I am very happy. They are high quality and built to last. They still look brand new after using them in sparring at least twice a week. The only two draw backs I could see people having would be the amount of padding and the price.

When sparring hard and you check a kick or get yours checked you are definitely going to feel it. Somep
people will be turned off by this, but I actually got these knowing that was the case as I wanted to condition my bones. The price is a bit high, but the quality makes up for it. I figure they will last me much longer than lower quality ones and that will more than make up for the difference.

Also I love the Velcro straps. These guards stay in place and you never have to worry about them!

Hayabusa Shinguards November 4, 2010
Reviewer: Jeffery Nguyen from Saratoga, CA United States
I've used 3 pairs of shinguards : Fairtex Pro Style Shinguards, Combat Sports Premier Grappling Shin-Instep Guards. The Hayabusa and Fairtex both have a good hook and loop system that keeps the shinguard on your leg, whereas the Combat Sports only had 2 small velcro squares.

The Hayabusas provide as much protection as the other two, but feels far lighter than them. I can definitely kick and move faster while wearing them compared to the other two brands. I would highly recommend these shinguards
