these shorts are long - think like venum style shorts, the bottom will fall somewhere on or below your kneecap, some people like this, personally i prefer my fight shorts to end above the knee for less impeded movement.
the material is thicker than most mma shorts, and it doesn't feel like a typical boardshort either. the best way i can describe is like a 4-way stretchy *thick* sandpaper like fabric - it feels rough but also you can tell it's incredibly durable.
the velcro closure is the standard one-way belt type fastener, i'm a fan of the double closure which folds over, but that's just my personal preference.
on the inside there is a small thin strip of grippy rubber which helps ensure the shorts don't shift during sessions.
bottom line: good shorts, definitely some people will absolutely love them, for the price i feel there may be better options depending on your preferences.
