The Zebra 1" x 1m x 2m Combo Mat is great for those who combine Striking Arts and Grappling. It was specifically developed by Zebra for stand-up martial arts training, such as Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Boxing, and Kung-Fu.The Combo Mat utilizes the same multiple foam density technology as the Zebra Grappling Mat, but in a 1" thickness. It provides a firmer surface for kicks and spins, yet still provides enough shock absorption for limited takedowns and grappling. It's covered in tatami-style textured vinyl and features an anti-skid bottom for stability. Great for those who combine Striking Arts and Grappling. This one (1) inch thick mat was developed with a new technology that combines multiple foam densities that offers fleet-footedness yet has superb shock absorption. Good Durable Mat December 3, 2011

My husband and I bought some of these for the gym that we are opening.  We trained on some at the gym we left and I feel that these are the best mats that you can buy for training MMA and BJJ.  These mats are a bit pricey, but they are worth it.  The entire time that we trained at our old gym I never saw the mats show wear or rip.  The aren't bad if you are doing takedowns either.  I would recommend putting some puzzle mats underneath since they aren't too thick.  Other than that if you can afford to buy these mats then you should.

These mats arent as smooth as the other great zebra mats, they will leave you with mat burn if you roll on them alot, for BJJ i suggest the other mma zebra mats

these mats are alright, they have them at a gym i work out in in LA, and i tend to get "rug burns" from training on them. i'd recommend the roll out mats above these any time.

If you want to do kickboxing but also roll around on the mat, youre better off using the thicker mma mat as opposed to the combo mat.
