These are the best mats to grapple on because they are real thick but not mushy, the only downfall is the price

these are the mats we use to train with at portcitymma, they are solid to walk on, yet thick enough to really do takedowns and grappling on, anything thinner will most likely injure you eventually, best mats you can get

These mats are far more comfortable to roll on than standard ones
I would even go as far as saying you could train judo throws and takedowns on them because they are more giving than the regular ones
You have to buy a minimum of 5 mats, which is why most people use the cheaper ones for homegyms, but for real training centers these things are a great investment well worth the money, mats are never cheap
