these were great for me and my friends would mess around and grapple in my loft. They don't get your carpet dirty with everyone's sweaty feet and are softer when your slammed on the ground.

I like these mats because they are easy to clean and dry relatively quickly.  For the price, they are a great buy and don't wear out with multiple, long rolling sessions.  They are also really easy on the knees for shooting drills.

Very good for certain applications June 20, 2009

Almost every gym i've trained at has these. They are fantastic for stand up training, but not so good for wrestling or anything involving slams. If you start grappling from the ground, then these are great too, bu you have to be careful when changing positions not to bang your knee too hard on them, as they don't offer too much protection. Easy to clean and store.
